This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) is intended to inform you, as a user of our website and/or our mobile application, ‘QuiCard’ (collectively, the “Platform”) about our data collection, processing, and usage policies and procedures.

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you access / visit the Platform, create a User Account on the Platform, and/or avail or utilise our services.

BY USING OR VISITING THE PLATFORM, OR BY PROVIDING US WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IN THE COURSE OF USING THE PLATFORM OR ITS SERVICES, YOU CONSENT TO US COLLECTING, PROCESSING, SHARING, UTILISING, AND RETAINING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND APPLICABLE LAW.

  1. Definitions: For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the following capitalised terms shall have the following meanings:
    1. “Cookies” are pieces of electronic information or text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, mobile phone, or another device) when you visit our Platform.
    2. “Personal Information” is any data of, about, or in relation to you, or capable of identifying you, and shall include (as applicable), the Requested Information.
    3. “Requested Information” is data, information, details, and any documentation (personally identifiable or otherwise) you provide or upload / will provide or upload to the Platform through your User Account from time to time.
    4. “User Account” is the account created by you, in order for you to utilise our services available on the Platform.

2. General Notice

2.1 In general, you can visit the Platform without revealing your identity, or any personally identifiable information about yourself. However, you may not be able to access certain areas or services that require registration or need you to reveal your identity and/or other information about yourself.

2.2 The Company reserves the right to, and may at any time, monitor, record, and store (electronically or otherwise) all communications on the Platform, including electronic messages or other data transmissions (if any) between you and other users of the Platform.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information we collect from you will vary depending upon the activity you seek to engage in, and the portion of our services you wish to avail. In general, we may collect information about your mobile phone, computer, tablet, or any other device (being the device through which you utilise the Platform), hardware, software, internet Protocol (IP) address and connection, demographic information, data about your online activity such as feature usage and click paths, and other data that you may provide in surveys, feedback forms, etc. as may be conducted or requested by us from time to time on the Platform.

3.3 If you register a User Account with us, we may also collect Personal Information, including your name (past, and/or present), date of birth, age, financial, commercial, matrimonial, criminal, drug or other such records or information, past and present remuneration/s, educational qualifications and history, resume / curriculum vitae, employment and/or professional qualifications and history, reference/s information, address/s, contact number/s, e-mail address/s, medical information, nationality and citizenship, residence status, and any proof / evidence requested in relation thereto, any legal or other identifiers and information / copies of documentation like your Permanent Account Number (PAN), PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Drivers’ License, Voter Identity Card, Passport, vehicle registration number/s, photograph/s, gender, and any other information requested from you when you create your User Account, or otherwise in the course of using our services.

4. How do We Collect Information?

We collect information that may be used to identify you, and that is not otherwise publicly available, when you:

      1. visit the Platform, via Cookies in accordance with our Cookie policy;
      2. create your User Account;
      3. upload / provide Requested Information or Personal Information to the Platform;
      4. participate in any interactive features of the Platform;
      5. request updates or otherwise subscribe to communications from us; and/or
      6. participate in a survey, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with us.

5. Purpose for Collection & Processing

5.1 We collect your information to:

  1. carry out background verification, authentication, or other such checks based on Personal Information you provide to us. We will separately obtain your consent before we process or share your information with any third-parties for background verification or other such purposes;
  2. ensure that the Platform continues to function effectively and offer you a high quality user experience;
  3. send you technical notices, updates, security alerts and support and administrative messages;
  4. respond to your comments, questions and requests and provide customer service;
  5. monitor and analyse trends, usage and activities in connection with the Platform;
  6. personalise and improve the Platform, and provide advertisements, content, suggested connections or features that match user profiles or activities; and
  7. detect and prevent cheating, hacking, fraud, unauthorised use of the Platform, or any other activity that violates or is inconsistent with the spirit or language of our Terms of use or other Company policies.

5.2 Personal Information shared with us by you shall be collected and processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and in compliance with applicable law.

5.3 We will keep confidential and protect your Personal Information except where disclosure is required or permitted by law, or unless you expressly consent to us sharing your Personal Information (for processing or otherwise).

6. Retention Policy

6.1 We will retain your Personal Information for as long as it is necessary for us to carry out the purposes for which it was collected, and/or to provide you with the services mentioned in Paragraph 5.1 above.

6.2 When it is no longer necessary to retain your information, we will delete it, or anonymise and retain it for analytics and study purposes. This retention will be for such period, as needed to fulfil our analytics and study initiatives. This retention period enables us to analyse trends, gather general demographic information, and generate statistical insights without identifying specific individuals.

7. User Account Deactivation/Deletion

7.1 You shall retain the right to deactivate/delete the User Account as well as the associated data on the Platform at any given time. The User Account deactivation/deletion can be done by raising a ticket to our operations team using the contact us section of the app login screen OR using the deactivate/delete the User Account option available under the user profile section of the app.

7.2 Following your confirmation, your account will be marked for deactivation/deletion. We shall send a verification email to your registered email address to confirm the deactivation/deletion request. You must follow the instructions provided in the verification email to complete the account deactivation/deletion process.

7.3 Once the User Account deactivation/deletion process is finalized, your access to the Platform and associated services will be terminated.

7.4 We shall permanently delete your User Account and associated data within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal or regulatory requirements. We reserve the right to retain certain data as required by applicable laws or for legitimate business purposes, even after account deactivation/deletion.

8. Security of Your Information

We follow reasonable and accepted security standards to protect the Personal Information provided to us, both during transmission and, once we receive it, for processing, storage, transfer, and disposal. No method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use reasonable safeguards for your Personal Information in our possession, we cannot guarantee its absolute security

9. Your Rights & Grievance Redressal

9.1 You have the right, at any time to:

a. withdraw your consent to our collection and processing of your Personal Information;

b. correct, update, or complete your Personal Information provided to us; and

c. nominate any other individual, who in the event of your death or incapacity, can exercise your rights mentioned above on your behalf.

9.2 Please be aware that if you withdraw your consent to our collection and processing of your Personal Information, we will reserve the right to discontinue providing you with services and / or access to the Platform, which require the collection and / or processing of your Personal Information.

9.3 You may request erasure of your Personal Information collected and / or processed by us. However, please be aware that we reserve the right to retain your Personal Information if the purpose for which we have collected and processed your Personal Information is yet to be completed.

9.4 Our Grievance Officer (contact details below) will be your point of contact at the Company for any grievances, concerns, clarifications, or queries you may have about our collection and processing of your Personal Information. Our Grievance Officer will also guide and aid you, should you wish to exercise any of your rights mentioned above.

10. External Websites/Mobile Applications

The Platform may contain links to other websites/mobile applications. This Privacy Policy does not apply to such other websites/mobile applications. The Company is not expressly or impliedly responsible or liable for any loss or damage caused to you by the collection, processing, use, or retention of your data or Personal Information by such website/mobile application in any manner whatsoever. It is important that you review the privacy policies of all websites/mobile applications you visit before you disclose any information to such websites/mobile applications.


11. Changes to Privacy Policy

As and when the need arises, we may, in our sole discretion, alter this Privacy Policy in accordance with the latest technology, trends and/or for the purpose of compliance with applicable laws. We will notify you of these changes via e-mail, and/or by posting a notice on the Platform, informing you that this Privacy Policy has been altered/amended, and that you, as a user/visitor of the Platform will be required to consent to such modifications or changes in the Privacy Policy. You may reach out to our Grievance Officer (contact details in Paragraph 8.(d) above) if you have any queries about any changes made to our practices.


12. Change of Control

If the ownership or control of the Company and/or the Platform changes, your Personal Information may be transferred. If such a transfer results in a change in the treatment of your Personal Information, Company will use its best efforts to provide you with a notice about the rights and choices you have to decline to permit such a transfer.


13. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of India and any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts / statutory authorities of competent jurisdiction in [Pune], India.
